St.Teresa’s college buildingSt.Teresa’s college is situated in the heart of Kochi city in two different locations separated by a distance of roughly half a kilometer. The college has adopted a vertical mode of expansion. Each block has many buildings with an adequate number of classrooms for different programmes offered by the college.

Teresian Gym Plaza -’75

St Teresa’s College Facilities - Teresian Gym PlazaWithin the limited space, the college has constructed a multi-purpose indoor stadium in the Science Block in 2003-04 named 'Teresian Gym Plaza-’75. It doubles up as a common place for the students and faculty for holding seminars, public functions, and cultural programmes. It can also be conveniently converted into a floor for indoor games and serves as the Basketball Court. 

Platinum Jubilee Complex

St Teresa’s College Facilities - Indoor stadiumA new indoor stadium has been constructed and the stadium was inaugurated in March 2014. This Platinum Jubilee Complex of St.Teresa’s College includes auditoriums, conference halls, Computer Assisted Language Lab, guest room and classrooms. The main auditorium has a seating capacity of 2000 and the mini-auditorium has 700.

Office Rooms and Administrative Section

The College office and the Principal’s office occupy in the ground floor of the main building. The administrative section in the main building is remodeled based on the latest trends in architecture – 'a State-of-the-Art Office' in 2009.

P.G. Department Laboratories

Department of Botany

St Teresa’s College - Department of BotanyThe Post Graduate and Research Department of Botany has 5 full-fledged laboratories and one A/c Instrumentation room. These include P.G. Lab, U.G. Lab, Research Lab, Tissue culture Lab and the Computer Lab. The department also has a Museum and Herbarium exhibiting the vast biodiversity of the Plant Kingdom.  The Dept. library has around 4000 books. All the classrooms and the U.G. Lab are provided with LCD projectors. The Botany computer lab has 5 computers and internet facility solely for the academic purpose of the students.

Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry has two well-equipped P.G. labs and two U.G. labs. In addition, we have a computer lab, P.G.  Instrumentation room, a department library and a well-stocked storeroom for chemicals.




Department of Home Science
The various labs that come under the Department of Home Science are the following: the Biochemistry Lab, the Microbiology Lab, Food Science, and Nutrition Lab, Textiles Lab, Practical Lab of Family Resource Management and the Centre for Remediation of Learning Difficulties and Communication Disorders. The Department also has facilities for analyzing body composition by In- Body analyzer, skinfold calipers and Body Impedance Analyser (BIA).

Department of Zoology
The Department of Zoology is well equipped with four diversified Laboratories for performing U.G. and P.G. Zoology Practical and research activities. Laboratory facilities include space for teacher demonstrations, student laboratory activities, student discussion, and safe storage space for supplies. The department has four Labs, including the Main lab for Core Practical’s, a Zoology Sub-Lab for Complementary practical’s, one Computer Lab for Bioinformatics Practicals and a common Instrumentation Lab with instruments for Microbiology and Molecular biology Practicals.

 A separate Department library with over 3000 books is one of the assets of the Department.  Advanced books, Research Journals etc,  are a feature of our library. The Department is also equipped with a museum which has around 1200 preserved specimens of diverse animals belonging to various phyla.

Other Common College Facilities

The campus has an Audio-visual room, a health club, a computer center, hostels with ample rooms and a Women’s Study Centre which aims at the empowerment of women. The college owns three buses for students. Water supply is available on all floors in both the blocks and power supply in all the rooms.
