WHAT IS SOCIOLOGY?

It is the study of social life, cause, changes, and consequences of human behavior.  It also deals with the structure of organizations, groups, and societies and how people interact with them. Sociology provides different perspectives of the world. It provides a wide scope for research, study, and application of knowledge. 

Sociology analyzes individual identity to social issues on a global scale. It includes studies about family, religion, culture, and organized crime also issues related to race, gender, and social status. Studying sociology helps us to understand the reasons for social differences, social behaviors, etc. Sociology studies the different dimensions of human life, like poverty, inequality, cultural difference, environmental degradation, etc. It plays a great role in understanding international problems. Thus it provides solutions to social and community problems and contributes to creating better citizens and a better society.
