National Energy Conservation Award 2019
In an effort to promote energy conservation in all sectors of the economy, each year the Energy Ministry of Energy awards the National Energy Conservation Awards and Prizes to industry and other institutions.
In 1991, the Ministry of Power of India launched the National Endorsement Scheme for awards to industries and institutions that have made a special effort to reduce consumption while maintaining production. The awards were first announced on December 14, 1991, as National Energy Conservation Day. The awards, which are held on 14th December every year, are given to the most distinguished persons of the Government of India.
